Imagine walking on a surface that once graced olive groves in the heart of southern Italy, a region steeped in both natural splendor and cultural heritage. Repurposed from Calabria, Italy, each plank carries with it the spirit of the olive tree, a symbol of abundance, peace, and longevity since ancient times. From the very epicenter of olive and Mediterranean history, our flooring captures the essence of centuries-old traditions.
The uniqueness of our ENGINEERED OLIVE WOOD FLOORING lies not only in its origin but also in its meticulous engineering. Crafted with care, each plank seamlessly combines layers of repurposed olive wood with a robust core, ensuring stability that stands up to the test of time. The result is a floor that exudes sophistication while embracing the rustic charm of the olive wood’s distinctive grain patterns.
As you walk across these planks, you’ll be transported to sun-dappled landscapes, vibrant markets, and the enchanting rhythm of coastal life. The warm hues and intricate textures of the olive wood create an atmosphere that’s both inviting and captivating, making your space a sanctuary of Mediterranean allure.
Made from reclaimed wood planks, this product has a 5/8″ (16 mm) wear layer and is available in 5″ width with lengths ranging from 2′ to 7′. The tongue-and-groove and end-matched profile make installation quick and easy, while the stunning olive hue of the lumber brings warmth and character to any room. Its thick wear layer also adds extra protection against scratching and scuff marks caused by heavy foot traffic or furniture movement.
Because of the tight grain, it is resistant to moisture, which enables it to retain its lovely appearance for a number of years while being utilized in areas that are susceptible to harm from moisture. In addition, olive trees have a rather slow growth rate, which results in timber that is extremely tough and solid with an attractive grain pattern that does not fade with age. Because of this, it is well suited for use in the manufacture of floors that are intended to last for many years.
Olive wood has been a timeless material in European home construction for generations, as seen by its widespread use across the continent. It is common for flooring constructed out of this kind of lumber to remain in pristine condition for decades if it is properly cared for and maintained throughout that time.
